What Guitar Does Gabriella Quevedo Play?
Gabriella Quevedo plays a custom Grand Concert GC8 from Taylor guitars. You will easily recognize the GC8 in her original fingerstyle video of Eric Clapton’s Tears In Heaven, as well as her more recent arrangement, due to its slotted headstock.
Gabriella is quite fond of Taylor guitars due to their characteristic "big" sound and ease of playing.
Ever since January 2016, when she attended the annual NAMM Show in Anaheim, she has primarily played a Taylor guitar. After making her U.S. debut on stage in California and brilliantly showcasing her signature fingerstyle arrangements, Gabriella knew a Taylor guitar was the right fit for her.
Taylor GC8
Being part of the 800 series, the GC8 is from the more affordable GC line of instruments by Taylor Guitars. The Grand Concert body shape refers to a slightly smaller body shape than the D series (Dreadnaught) while still remaining a full-size instrument.

The GC8 boasts a solid spruce top and a rosewood back and side construction, much like the premium instruments in Sungha Jung's guitar collection which are particularly suited for fingerstyle guitar.
Taylor 812ce
In 2012, a young Gabriella wowed fans by playing on a 812ce (with price tag still attached) at Andreasson Musik in Gothenburg, Sweden. With a solid Sitka spruce top, and back and sides made from Indian rosewood, the Taylor 812ce is a beautifully crafted Grand Concert acoustic guitar.
The 812ce became part of Gabriella's guitar collection after her performance at the Taylor Guitars Road Show. The elegant tone control knobs, which are an integral part of the patented Taylor Expression System®, allow for shaping the sound of the guitar captured by the pickup located behind the saddle.

The Taylor 812ce is a beautiful Grand Concert acoustic-electric guitar. Its compact body and balanced tone make it ideal for intricate fingerstyle performances.
Taylor 912ce
Gabriella also performs with a Taylor 912ce, which is equipped with a beautifully beveled cutaway shape and shoulder rest. Part of Taylor’s 900 Series, the 912ce showcases Bob Taylor's brilliant patented interior V-Class bracing, which is a revolutionary design quite different from the standard X internal bracing of traditional acoustic guitars.
This guitar is a perfect match for Gabriella’s expressive covers, such as her rendition of Blanket Kick + I Need U by BTS.

The Taylor Builder’s Edition 912ce is a stunning Grand Concert acoustic-electric guitar, delivering the customary large Taylor Guitar sound with an ergonomic design.
Gabriella Quevedo's Other Acoustic Guitars
Growing up in the Southwestern Swedish town of Kinna, Gabriella Quevedo was inspired by her father to start learning fingerstyle guitar on a steel string instrument at age 12. Before embracing Taylor Guitars, Gabriella played a Yamaha, and she has recently acquired two more guitar models which are not Taylor instruments.
Let's look at some of her first guitar models, as well as the more recent additions to her collection.
Yamaha APX 500
The Yamaha APX 500 is a thinline acoustic-electric guitar, featuring a beautiful mother-of-pearl sound hole ring inlay. An excellent beginner model guitar, it's clear the Indonesian-made APX 500 served as a stepping stone for Gabriella before she transitioned to Taylor Guitar's more professional Grand Concert models.

The incredibly playable Yamaha APX 600 is a versatile thin body acoustic guitar. It's perfect as a beginner level instrument or for seasoned professionals alike.
Kepma B1-OM
Gabriella Quevedo’s journey from being an exclusively Taylor guitarist to a musician with a wider array of premium guitars is evident with her addition of a guitar from Kepma's Elite Series. Her Kepma B1-OM boasts beautiful inlays made from New Zealand Abalone, which the locals call Pāua, and features a pressure-tested African Mahogany neck reinforced with dual Carbon Fiber rods.
Ibanez FRH
The Japanese guitar manufacturer Ibanez is proud to be associated with shredders the world over, and in 2025 Gabriella Quevedo added the Ibanez FRH to her nylon guitar collection. Although lacking a sound hole, the sound port on the side of the instrument allows you to hear the pure nylon tone of the guitar when unplugged.
Designed as a sort of hybrid between the electric and nylon string guitars, the FRH has an elegant solid spruce top and an interesting off-centre dot placement on the fretboard. The Ibanez T-bar undersaddle pickup captures Gabriella's expert plucking prowess as she shows off a Tim Henson lick from Chimera.

Ibanez FRH10N-NTF Acoustic-Electric Nylon-String Guitar
With a narrow-width nut and easy high fret access, the Ibanez FRH10N-NTF is a sleek acoustic-electric nylon-string guitar, perfect for progressive fingerstyle guitarists.
Does Gabriella Quevedo Play An Electric Guitar?
Gabriella has revealed that while she has experimented with electric guitars, she prefers acoustic instruments, finding them more aligned with her musical style. Her father has an extensive electric guitar collection, and this played a role in Gabriella's exposure to music. Among the electric guitars from her father's collection that Gabriella has played in her videos include the S Prestige from Ibanez.

Ibanez S6570SK-STB Prestige
The Ibanez S6570SK-STB Prestige is a high-performance electric guitar with a silky oak top and mahogany body. Its Super Wizard HP neck and DiMarzio pickups will appeal to both fingerstyle players and flatpickers alike.
As Gabriella continues to post videos, we will likely see more of her acoustic guitars. You will now be able to recognize those with the Grand Concert body shape, like the Taylor GC8, 912ce, and 812ce, as well as the newer axes in her collection, like the recent arrival of a nylon string.
